An application for registration as a Candidate
Engineer (which is a four-year B.Sc(Eng) / BEng degree obtained at a University
or a foreign degree recognised in terms of the Washington Accord) only requires
certified proof that the applicant holds a recognised or accredited academic
qualification(certified copies of qualifications) .If you do not qualify ,
please change your application type to EducationalEvaluation.
ECSA assesses the application for completeness and,
if so, evaluates the applicant’s academic qualification. If the application is
incomplete, the candidate is advised of any shortcoming which must be rectified
as soon as possible.
Applicants holding an accredited South African
degree, or a foreign degree recognised in terms of the Washington Accord, are
processed without further delay, subject to completeness of their application.
Once an applicant’s academic qualification is confirmed as meeting ESCA’s
requirements, the application is forwarded to the relevant Committee for
registration. Candidate Engineers are advised in writing of their registration
and a certificate of registration is prepared and posted to them as soon as
possible thereafter.
